  Theodore Bierman an aged and respected gentleman living 7 miles northwest of Allen died at his home Tuesday morning after an illness.
  The funeral was held today at the M.E. church conducted by Rev. Conrad, and burial will be made in the Allen Cemetery.  We will endeavor to give the obituary next week.

  Theodore Bierman was born in Westphalia, Germany, October 18, 1843, died March 18, 1912, aged 68 years, and 5 months.  He came to America in 1881 and settled in North Lyon County where he resided until death.  He was married to Elizabeth Kirvitter, August 28th, 1868.  To this union was born seven children, two having died in infancy and five with their mother survive him.  They are:  Mrs. H.C. Wilkie and Mrs. Raymond Selby, living near their parents home, Theodore Bierman of Burlingame, Otto Bierman of Kansas City, and Mrs. T.K. Castle of near Emporia.  Mr. Bierman was an upright honorable gentleman being highly respected by all who knew him.  The family have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
